GE Healthcare Wants to Make You Aware Of Some Significant Legislation Recently Passed By Congress.
On February 1, 2006, US Congress passed the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005. This Act includes legislation that reduces Medicare reimbursement rates for imaging procedures performed in freestanding imaging centers and within the physician office.
The reductions will have an impact on Medicare reimbursement for specific MR, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, PET, CT, Vascular and Bone Mineral Densitometry imaging procedures.
